Father's Assurance Unveiling - Sculpture by Charlotte

I had my first unveiling! This commission started about two years ago. It took awhile for things to percolate, but once they did we were off and running, well more like a slow trot, with all the stops and starts along the way. But the day finally arrived and my client, Bobby Foster, got to give the gift of a personalized bronze sculpture to his friend and business partner, Mimi Cavanaugh.

Bobby is both my friend and my Financial Advisor with Legacy Private Wealth Partners. He approached me in 2022 with an idea to honor his former business partner and current Consultant, Mimi Cavanaugh. Mimi is also my longtime friend and was my Financial Advisor prior to working with Bobby.

His idea was to present her with a significant, personalized gift that would honor their 20-years of professional relationship and express gratitude for her high practice standards in support of their clients and the business. Bobby thought that a personalized commission sculpture, made by me, and given to Mimi would be a perfect way to express this gratitude.

As it came close to the sculpture completion Bobby wanted to throw a party to expand the celebration. Many of their clients came to the gathering. It was a patio party with fabulous food, perfect weather, good friends, and the unveiling of the sculpture. What more could we ask for?

Voila! The sculpture was unveiled.

When Mimi and I worked through design concepts for this commission piece we landed on a significant memory of her as an 8-year-old child. Without delving into the details of the story, suffice it to say that we massaged the memory a bit, and the resultant story is represented by what you see here. A father and a young daughter engaged in a serious exchange.
